We are breeders and we are
brokers. We are able to sell you a cute little cria, possessing
our own elite bloodlines, straight from our farm, or we can find any specific animal, or type of animal, that you may
want from any of the over-280 farms, ranches, and breeders, we deal with in North America.
It takes years
to build the confidence and trust that successful brokering demands, but we enjoy these priviledges with our network of cooperating
breeders, and that is why we can easily buy an animal for you at no additional cost to you.
Even though we
work for you, the buyer does not pay the broker - the seller pays the broker!

Fiber is what it is all about
Excellent conformation
is essential for an alpaca to become a champion or a valuable animal at stud, but ultra-fine fiber makes a good alpaca into
a truly great one. Top class conformation comes from great bloodlines and fine genes. The finest fiber is also passed down
in the DNA, but careful and knowledgeable nutrition and diet will greatly improve most fiber, and selective breeding will
also improve the quality and quantity of the fiber of future offspring considerably.
Alpaca fiber is the finest and strongest natural fiber. It is 5 times
warmer than wool, comes in 22 natural colors, is the strongest natural fiber, and yet is finer and softer than the finest
angora, mohair, or cashmere.
The aim is to start
with a heavy fleece of dense fiber with good coverage and improve it with each successive breeding. Hence the term ‘up-breeding’.
Luster, or sheen, adds a dimension, as does Lock (its cleanliness and appearance). Crimp, or waviness, indicates
greater length. Handle (how it feels) and Strength (its general health) also play an important part. Color is less important and Micron
Counts are important to most, but not all,
fiber buyers.
