Excellence in breeding and fairness of price are not just our goals - THEY ARE OUR COMMITMENT!
At Tall Pines Farm we have selectively bred our herd of
magnificent huacaya alpacas from the very finest bloodlines available. The bloodlines of our animals read like a 'Who's
Who' of the aristocracy of alpacadom - but you won't see any inflated prices or read unwarranted hype.
Value for Money is first and foremost!
The best way to make your money go far is to buy special value packages.
For instance, we can
sell you two or three pregnant females, some with their last cria at their side, and give you a FREE rebreeding to one of
our famous BREEDMASTER herdsires after the next cria is born. In this way you will get three (3) animals for every female
bought - a wonderful way to start your herd. Each female is expected to generate one cria each year and most females will
actively breed until they are 16-18 years of age, or longer. Alpacas are low maintenance animals, eating hay and grass for
the most part, so, consider the return on your investment!
ASK
US ABOUT OUR SPECIAL PACKAGES.
We are expecting 12 baby cria in the next batch of births. We NEED to reduce our inventory
so we will make YOU some very special deals. Tell us how much you wish to spend and we will show you how far that amount can
go with a special package sale.
THERE ARE SEVERAL
WAYS THAT YOU CAN GROW YOUR HERD AND DEVELOP YOUR BUSINESS OF BREEDING AND RAISING ALPACAS. THE CHOICE IS YOURS.
Option #1
Fast Growth Program:
Grow your herd as quickly as possible so that you are able to sell animals without diminishing the size of
your herd. Keep all newborn crias and breed to outside herdsires in the first couple of years. Generate your own breeding
herdsires from the males born in your own program - allowing for the separation of bloodlines. AOBA states that an initial
herd of seven females and two males will grow to become 36 animals within five years and 126 animals after ten years
- assuming a fifty/fifty rate of male/female births and an 80% survival rate overall.
Option #2
Limited Exposure Program - Recover your investment quickly and control the growth
of your herd. Regardless of the size of your initial herd, retain only one female cria each year (selling the rest) until
your investment has been recovered in full. Then you are quickly working on money that has been generated from your business.
Option #3:
Fast Recapture of Investment
Program - Sell all cria, male and female, until you have recovered all of the capital invested in the business,
or have repaid any loan taken out. This will ensure that you are debt free and working on income generated from the business
at all times. If shortage of space or limited facilities are a problem, you may wish to continue this program or a variation
of it.
There are many ways to manage
your alpaca business. How YOU do it depends on your goals and expectations and your willingness to commit time and money to
the project.
We can help you if you are undecided. Let
our research and experience work for you. Let us help you prepare your business plan with five-year and ten-year income/expenditure
projections; design and plan your working farm; or advise on nutrition and supplements specially designed to increase quality
and density of fiber.
If you are not sure that you are ready to start breeding and raising alpacas, why not arrange a visit to our farm? We will show you the different animals, different
bloodlines, different colors, different characteristics - and allow you to hug and touch them, helping you to get to know
these gorgeous creatures and their lovely natures.
We will help you before
you start your alpaca adventure - and we will stay with you long after you have purchased your first animals from us. We take
great pride in being there for our clients.
